June 25th, 2008

Although the new Firefox 3 is able to load up website much faster than previous version of Firefox, there is still scope to speed up and optimize Firefox 3. Tweaking Firefox 3 can be a challenge using the about:config advance settings, Instead of manually changing each of the settings, here is a very useful free software that is able to optimize the latest Firefox 3 with just a click.

FireTune for Mozilla Firefox v1.x / 2.x / 3.x is a very easy way to optimized and fasten your browsing experience with Firefox. Its just a software with bunch of the well known optimization tricks that most experts recommended.

hey, do not use this firetune, i have tested my speed in speedtest.net before installing this firetune and after installing, u dont believe the speed has reduced after installing firetune, it was less by 400b/sec. so not worth of it, he is just changing the number of connections in server and no of connections for proxy, which you can also do it by google on it for the correct feasible amount, i mean like go to about:config and give as many you want and u can tune it by ur comfort. Not worth of installing unwanted programs in ur system. its up to u though :)

Dude I don’t know what you’re talking about. I just ran this little program and it worked wonderfully. It was super quick and made my firefox FLY now. Your internet connection wouldn’t have gotten faster because you changed some firefox settings. He mentioned in his post that the program changes the about:config shit for you instead of having to search google and wade through bullshit to get the correct settings to get it to run decent. Oh, and you don’t have to install it. It doesn’t make registry changes or anything dude. You’re just running the executable file. Die (with all due respect, might I add) :D

I downloaded Firetune and tried it. I extracted all. I made a backup. Then I ran the executable. Basically I couldn’t open firefox at all after this. I reccomend just finding an app or changing abotu config yourself.
I did this twice today and lost all my bookmarks, some of which I had lots of time spent to make them just right. Moral of this story. Don’t download. This does not work on FF 3.01.
