Free Wi Fi Hotspot Finder lets you find the nearest Wifi hotspot

Free Wi-Fi Hotspot Finder is a web service that lets you search for free wireless internet locations for any address of your choosing and present these locations visually using Google Maps.

Great tool for campaigners, professionals and people on the go, who may hike to an unfamiliar part of the new city, wondering about the available options for wireless hotspots. To use Wi-Fi Hotspot Finder just enter in the address or zip code of the place and it will list the available wifi hotspots near the location. It will also place these locations on a Google map mashup.

But thing is that out of a total of 17,124 hotspots around 86 countries, 14,836 of these are US-based which is nearly 90%, which I think makes this tool useless to most countries out there. Don’t lose hope, they are updating there database frequently as more and more people are reporting the locations.

Also bear in mind you need Internet connection to access this tool, so this makes the tool only useful if you are planning ahead.

Minor hiccups may arise with iPhone not able to show the Google Maps service, still it will show the list of Wi-Fi places.
