How to Extend Windows 7 Trial Period Upto 90 Days

Now most of us have probably been Wowed! by the all new Windows 7 Pre-Beta and might be itching to get hands on or already had got some good experience. You’d already know that the Pre-Beta build will automatically expire after a trail period of 30 days.

Unless you attended the PDC 2008 and got an activation key, there is no way you could activate Windows 7 forever but you can expend it upto 90 days then the usual 30 days time.

Here is how you can reset the activation expiry date.

  1. Download Windows 7 Pre-beta and burn the ISO to a DVD.
  2. Install Windows 7 Pre-beta using the DVD and while installation make sure to not put any activation key.
  3. Once the installation is complete, open Command Prompt.
  4. Type any of the following three commands.
    sysprep /generalize or slmgr.vbs –rearm or rundll32 slc.dll,SLReArmWindows

TubeMaster Plus downloads Video or Audio From almost Any Site

Streaming media from various video and music sites is easily one of the most popular activity in the internet. Now I wonder if we could grab all this stuffs instead of streaming each time we wanna listen or view thus saving valuable bandwidth. TubeMaster could be your answer, as this all-in-one approach for grabbing and converting audio and video from nearly any web site that can stream it to you.

Great thing is that the app requires no installation just launch it, its built-in tabbed browser lets you simply launch it, head to Last.fm, YouTube, a site with proprietary Flash video, or nearly any other streaming media, and hit “Start Media Capture.” After the files are on queue, just convert and save to your format of choice. TubeMaster’s built-in media search tool covers nearly 100 video and audio-sharing sites. TubeMaster Plus is easily one of my must have applications, upgrading to a paid version unlocks downloads from adult sites.

Norton User Account Control replaces annoying Vista UAC

Norton User Account Control replaces annoying Vista UAC

Unless you really love Vista blacking out your screen and asking you with annoying popups to give access to a program or not is a strict no no for us. Norton unlike there annoying activation nightmare products, this free application named Norton User Account Control replaces Vista’s default UAC with a more user-friendly and more secure UAC. Most of the people that switched there workspace to Vista quickly got annoyed with the UAC and decided to disable it altogether.

Norton UAC is a much friendly option, as it has a simple Don’t ask me again option and gives you better details about the program that was prompted by UAC, so you have a better understanding what actually is wrong. Norton UAC is a free beta download, requires Windows Vista.
