Google’s open source web browser browser Chrome is gaining popularity and google spiced up things a bit with the launch of the official Theme Gallery for Chrome. There are 29 different themes to chose form but Unfortunately, most of theme packages do nothing more than changing the colours of the existing interface and most of them looks quite horrible. These themes only work on the latest developer builds ( 3.0.193.2 or above). For those who were waiting for some new and eye candy themes all these 29 themes will be bitter disappointing. With horrible and awkward colour combination’s in some themes sometimes it becomes even difficult to see tabs properly, making you wonder if the themes were designed by bunch of 5 year olds. Another frustrating fact is that none of these themes do not change the look of the buttons, icons, font or any other such element of the entire Chrome skin it simply changes the background colour of the skin.

When it comes to online file storage and sharing most of us usually speak about Rapidshare, Megashare etc. But things are changing there are loads of new and emerging online file-hosting company that allows almost the same features as the top dogs, sometimes even better.
Using Rapidshare, Megaupload as free user are pain in the ass. So I guess we seriously need to consider alternatives and give these noobs a chance. Here are some of the best online servers that offers Free Unlimited File Hosting.

As suggested by the name Text Mining Tool is freeware that lets you extract text from files. It includes files such as PDF, DOC, RTF, CHM and HTML without even having to open them. If you are in need of extracting text from any of the above file types look no further than Text Mining Tool. Its easy clean and its for free.

Well you can also use freeware such as Open office to edit or copy text from certain file types mentioned above and also many PDF reders will even allow you to select the text directcly from which you can simply copy paste it to a text or wordpad. However if you don’t like to open thses files for some reason and manually do the thigs then look no furteher than Text Mining Tool. But remember it will not retain the layout and formatting from the orginal file. You can also use applications like Smart PDF Converter for converting pdf to text document.

Shock Bookmark is a freeware that lets you add certain directories, files, applications and Internet URLs as favorites and provides instant access to them just with the click of your right mouse button. Letting you quickly perform a quick right-click copy paste or move operations of your bookmarks, files apps etc.

On the downside it only lets you create sub-folders and organize your bookmarks into them from the options screen, only to one folder level(ie It do not allow you to place folders inside folders). Apart from that Shock Bookmark is a great application. As its not so heavy on the system resources and pretty much a must have cool little application for all web surfers.
Platform: Windows all/NT/200x/XP/Vista
Latest edition:Shock Bookmarkv3.0

We all know VLC as one of the most simple and yet effective video and audio player for a wide variety of systems. After its latest updated for PC this is vlc4iphone. It almost plays anything which you through at it and is a great solution for playing XviD, h264, MPEG4, FLAC, 3GP etc. But still lacks some punch and has many technical issues with video playback and sound, i personally found the latest version (vlc4iphone0.9.9) much more stable. Although it looks the same it is much improved from its previous versions. It now plays XviD, h264, MPEG4, FLAC, 3GP, MP3, MPEG2, AVI, and more!

The newest features and improvements are as follows:
- Compiled in FFmpeg!
- MANY more decoders supported, including support for XviD, h264, MPEG4, FLAC, 3GP, MP3, MPEG2, AVI, and more!
- Added volume control.
- Fixed a warning when no media is found.

I get pretty annoyed by the fact that MSN Messenger prevents user from starting multiple instances of the application. Running multiple instances might be useful for users like me who want to use different accounts one for business and the other for private contacts or simply two separate businesses or private contacts.

Although it is possible to use two different clients, for example MSN Messenger and Meebo to connect with two different user IDs but that means you need to cope with two different applications. A more straightforward and simple way is to use Polygamy which patches MSN Messenger so that it can be run multiple instances.
This software can patch various versions of MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger including the latest official releases and several beta versions.
