We can’t anticipate when an idea will come to our minds. It may come while you are on the road to your work, in office, baby-sitting etc. At the same time we forget the ideas as quickly as they come. Most occasions we find ourselves out of tools to capture those imaginations.
From my personal experience, good ideas never come at a convenient time. These ideas pop up when you are in the shower, mowing the lawn,
No matter how small is the idea, “an idea can change your life”. Now the question is! How to not miss out those important ideas and tasks.
Here are five simple ways:
1. Paper and a pen.
Pen and paper are the pioneers; hundreds of ideas were first penned down on a piece of paper. It’s still the most used. I love to write up my ideas when ever come to my mind and stick them up on the monitor.
2. Keep your cell-phone always with you.
In the modern age we may forget to carry pen and papers with us but I’m sure you won’t forget to bring your cell phone with you, will you? Writing on a cell sucks! I know it, but hey you at-least can salvage your ideas till you pen them down.
3. Use Notepad or Google Desktop’s Scratch Pad.
Most business travelers carry laptops with them. Now capturing ideas on a computer is pretty easy, just fire up Notepad, write and save. If you think notepad is slow you can try Scratch Pad from Google Desktop. . It’s always visible in the sidebar so you do not need to find and launch any program besides that it automatically saves the writing.
4. Jott.
If you are on the go or don’t have any paper handy. Try Jott. Jott is a phone service that allows you to “jott” down ideas via voicemail, which the service transcribes into email, and delivers, to your inbox.
5. Cheap voice recorder.
A voice recorder is another great tool for capturing ideas. It may not be the smartest looking gadget out their yet still does its job. Nowadays most mp3players come with inbuilt voice recorders and they are quite cheap.
These 5 easy ways will make sure you never loose out on great ideas that come to your mind.

I think it is very important to write down your ideas when you think of them. Any time I have an idea and don’t write it down I almost always forget it. I will think to myself, “What was that idea again?” I carry a small notepad in my purse to write my ideas down.
@Debby Banning… Writing the ideas on paper are the best way if you have time and isn’t in a tough situation. The above are for times when you don’t have the necessary resources.
