Concentration is something that even I lack. But as I have gone through my day to day business, I have realized concentrating isn’t that tough after all. People do think lack of concentration is simply because we don’t have it. Everyone has it, it’s just you need to discover it.
Their are several factors that effect the concentration level of a human. I personally feel that few simple things can make a world of difference. These 5 tips will help you excel in multitude of high highly creative activities like writing, brainstorming, presenting, marketing etc.
Giving yourself space. I found out that few moments off from the daily life, just to gather my thoughts does indeed boosted my confidence. I dono how this works out, but talking to myself without anyone in a calm place helped build my confidence and concentration. Its because your brain needs relaxation which is very necessary for birth of new ideas.
Exercise. Exercise daily even if its just for 15 minutes. Exercise helps freshen your mind, you get less fatigue when you overwork. Besides that exercise makes you healthy. Morning is the best time for exercise, as you start the day rejuvenated with all body impurities swept aside.
Eating habits and eating light. Eating is something you can’t stop, but eating health you can do that. First of all make sure you don’t overeat, overeating leads to pressure on your indigestion system, which leads to fatigue. Small snacks or coffee during breaks has helped me concentrate on working late into the night. Especially during deadlines a big dinner or lunch can almost spoil your day.
Planning your work. This is something we all talk about but how many of us follow. A successful life is a reward of planning. Most billionaires, even politicians were great To do listers. If you plan out your work and execute that in the time frame that you intend, you get more time for other works.
Always complete the easiest works first and then move over to the medium then the hardest. I won’t say it will work with you, but I think it will with most of us. Just make sure you don’t waste time with those easiest things, like checking email, chatting with friends etc.
Rewarding yourself
For each work you complete you should reward yourself. It doesn’t matters if its a piece of snack, or a Ferrari. It increases your motivation, which gives your concentration level a boost. Rewarding is good but make sure you find some calorie free solution, next thing you want is getting some weights.
Ultimately it will depend on you, if you think you can motivate yourself to do a certain thing, it will always work out good.

Great article! Here are some points I would like to add.
Giving yourself space: You can recollect whatever you did for the day just before you sleep. It helps me a lot.
Planning: You can keep a white board and write the things to do. Whenever you finish something, circle it and cross it out on the white board. It gives great joy when you see how less you have to do for the day. Always be optimistic. It’s better to say the jug is half full than saying the jug is half empty.
