Windows Updates Downloader downloads Windows Updates!

Downloading and installing your Windows Updates can be a real pain in the ass. But this free utility Windows Updates Downloader comes as a god sent gift who seriously keep reinstalling his Windows every now and then.

The software works in sync with Program Files Update Lists (ULs) which are also available in its official website. Once the list is loaded, you can grab any of Microsoft’s current updates as executable packages, easily slipstream or run by themselves on a system that needs it. It saves you endless hours of downloading those nagging updates, that will popup each time you reinstall your updates. The website hosts nine English Update lists for operating systems like Windows XP, Windows Vista and even Microsoft Office and Microsoft Exchange. Unfortunately the + signs seems to be not working, which is quite annoying as you have to go to the website for updated lists. Other then that a great application and a must have for system builders and tweakers.

Many news sites, blogs feature “mailto” links to send email that opens the default email client and pre-populate the email and subject . gAttach will make sure these open in Gmail rather than a local client such as Outlook Express. If you right click on any file, go to the send to menu, and click on “Mail Recipient” then by default gAttach will open the Gmail and the file will be uploaded as an attachment.

MdAxel Creates New Folders using Keyboard Shortcuts.

Every now and then we create folders for sorting our stuffs, and there’s never been an efficient way to create new folders in Windows without having to use that mouse. Time for some nirvana, mdAxel is a tiny application that can create a new folder just by using the assigned keyboard shortcut. It even triggers a folder creation dialog box which includes a pull-down menu from which you can reuse or edit previous names. Gone are the days when every weekend I used to sit back hours cleaning up the mess that accumulated during the week. MdAxel is a free download for Windowsonly.
