Nobody can have a stress-free life, it’s near impossible. Without challenges life is too boring to contemplate. In a simple case challenges leads to stress, but there are many things that actually make it so big.

It happens generally because of our unrealistic approach to life. When we succeed, we will feel ecstatic. But when we fail, we will feel very disappointed, sometimes total breakdown.

Avoiding them is the only way to eliminate them. Here are some tips on how to do it so that you can minimize stress and be happy with our life:

Focus on actions rather than results. It’s in the nature of humans that we think about the result before even trying, this leads to emotional tussle, stress, pain etc. There is not much you can do about it since you can’t control the results.

Instead of worrying about results, spend your time thinking about how to do it and what to do next. Only thing that results give you is feedback on how things have gone. You should look at results to refine how I can improve, not “what if I have done this right”!

Don’t compare yourself with others. Love it or not, we always tend to care more about how much money, our relatives, friends, neighbor have, than we do about how much money we have. Just because your friend has a Ferrari! Doesn’t mean you also should have one. Learn how to ignore others money, wealth, things etc. Just make sure you don’t compare yourself with others, it will only let you down.

Organize your life. Everyone encounters disorganization at some point of there life. Disorganization stresses us out, how many of you can handle things littered here and there over your bedroom. Organized your life, un-clutter your desk, the papers, clothes etc. When your surrounding will look good, your mind will be far more relaxed.

Failure is the pillar stone of success. Failure leads to success. In my personal, student and professional life, I have been down many times, but i never lost hope because after every dark cloud there is light. The more failure you make, the more likely it is that you will be successful.

Avoid multitasking. Doing lots of things at the same time may look like you are doing lot!, but actually in actuality it slows us down by taking away focus on a particular task. Hence it stresses our mind, body. Thing is that we need to learn how to single-task.

Eat healthy. Eating healthy food is also another great way to reduce stress. Junk, greasy food, can contribute to stress levels. Start eating veggies, juice, something that is good for health.

Don’t take things too seriously. Seriousness is good at work but sometimes it turns to obsession. Don’t let it happen, make working fun; it’s the easiest way to eliminate stress. Every thing you do in life may not turn out as you wanted it to be, have fun while doing anything; with fun element in your life, even if you lose but you won’t feel the pain, stress with it.

Avoid difficult people. Take a minute and find out all the people that you encounter each day- bosses, coworkers, customers, friends, family, etc. – now identify who make your life more difficult. Next day, when you confront them again, instead of battling them, avoid them.

Exercise. Exercising helps relieve the stress buildup, it gives your mind, body etc relaxation and most importantly it makes you fit. A fit body is better equipped to handle today’s fast urban lifestyle.

Slow down. People tend to rush through life, which leads to stress. Learn to do things slow. Enjoy your food, enjoy the people around you, enjoy nature give your mind, soul to adjust. Last week I pointed out few things on why we should eat slowly.

Simplify life. Simplifying your life, leads to less stress. Remove unnecessary commitments, eliminate expenses, eat healthy, meditate etc. There are hundreds of things that can make you life simple.
